G10 Eco-Tech's vision is to develop and distribute "An Alternative to Plastic", in order to eradicate single-use plastics.

We work in collaboration with manufacturers of water-soluble films to bring quality products to companies who care about the environment and their eco-friendly credentials.

We are proud that our products comply with the EU Framework Regulation No. 1935/2004, and the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Regulation No 2026/2006.

THE CHALLENGE

The Challenge

The scourge of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans must be tackled, Sir David Attenborough said as he launched the second series of Blue Planet II.

More than eight million tonnes of plastic reach seas every year. There will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050, and 99 per cent of the planet’s seabirds will have eaten some.

POLLUTION AND WILDLIFE

Not only is plastic pollution unsightly, but it can entangle wildlife, be ingested and block stomach and intestines, and may carry harmful chemicals. It can break down into small pieces, eventually, to micro-plastic – pieces smaller than 5 mm – that can accumulate up the food chain.

We were challenged by bringing a fresh approach to an "Alternative to Plastic".

Plastic does not belong in underwear when there are alternatives.

Our water-soluble plastic-free products can help reduce plastic pollution with a simple switch to plastic-free panty liners.

OUR SOLUTION

Solution

With the enormous financial, health, and environmental benefits of water-soluble film, we realised most consumers, industries and institutions would consider the swap a no-brainer.

Our water-soluble film is made from polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH), cassava and vegetable additives, and biodegrades into carbon dioxide, water and biomass when consumed by the micro-organisms. Therefore they do not persist in the environment, create contamination or micro-plastic pollution.

A BETTER WAY

PVOH films are fully bio-compostable, non-toxic, and their waste does not produce any toxic or harmful by-products when incinerated, dissolved, or digested. These properties and their high resistance to many solvents and oils make PVOH suitable for many applications.

EFFECTIVENESS

PVOH Film without compromise

We are proud to present the world’s most sustainable mass-producible films which don’t compromise usability. The products are water-soluble, biodegradable & compostable, they can dissolve in cold water, warm water or hot water. For shopping bags and packaging the hot water-soluble film is recommended. In cold water or ocean, it will not dissolve but it will become soft and lose strength, in case consumed by the fish, the bag or film will be digested by the fish, bringing no harm to the fish or marine life.

Biodegradable

When dissolved in water, PVOH-based films are biodegradable in wastewater facilities and other environments containing acclimated organisms

Resistant Properties

Our dissolvable packaging technologies can stand up to oil and solvents to ensure your product delivers in the intended environments.

Film Convertibility

Our films are tough, elastic, and resilient to enable successful conversion on a variety of secondary processing systems and satisfy shelf-life requirements
